For now that is… Sweetchilli is one of the most respected and revered crews to ever thrown a party in the Sydney dance scene, but the time has come for them to step down from weekly duties and take a well-earned break. After several months of weekly events at what’s probably Sydney’s finest small club space the Civic Underground, where they hosted amazing international talent of the likes of Extrawelt, Lee Burridge, Ripperton, Abe Duque, Petter, Paolo Mojo, Moonbeam and more, the team of Crispin Kerr and Daniel Crocetti to take several months off from putting on events.
For the Sweetchilli diehards though, there’s just one more party to go… Featuring one of Australia’s finest DJs Anthony Pappa, no less! He’ll be using his superb technical skills behind the decks to whip up a storm and take out Sweetchilli’s residency on a high note, but never fear; while Crispin and Daniel say their plan is to take three months or so off from dance music, they’ve every intention of returning to host irregular monthly parties at the Civic Underground, as well as the occasional big events like we saw with the Renaissance Ball over the Easter break..
Sweetchilli would like to extend a massive “thanks” to all its punters and especially its regulars, and they hope to see you when Anthony Pappa caps things off this Friday 6th June at the Civic Underground.
