Set times for Bonde Do Role tonight

Heading out to see one of Brazil’s most exciting young acts tonight, and the most popular example of the ‘so hot right now’ baile funk genre? Check below for the set times for the Bonde Do Role gig tonight at The Forum. As it’s chronicled in our ITM feature, the group created an enormous buzz when they burst to attention early last year – not only widely heard example of that intriguing ‘baile funk’ sound, their appeal went much further than that. It seemed like they’d almost managed to flip dance music on it head with their infectious take on sample-heavy party music that mixed Beatles and Metallica samples with Portuguese slang.

While a spanner was thrown into the works when charismatic frontwoman Marina Vello quit the band, forcing them to cancel a string of dates that would have seen them in Australia over the New Year period, remaining band-members DJ Gorky and Pedro aired a reality TV production on Brazil’s MTV where they found not one but two new Brazilian MCs, Ana Bernardino and Laura Taylor.
