CHANGE CITY :
Featuring in the latest episode of inthemix.tv alongside Cut Copy, Perth-via-London boys Pendulum spoke at length about their acclaimed new album ‘In Silico’. Visiting Australia in April for their first ever national live tour, they played sold out shows around the country, so it was an inevitable question from inthemix to enquire when they’d be back again.
“Are we likely to see you back here for the summer, for a festival like the Big Day Out..?” inthemix quizzed bass-player Gareth McGrillen and drummer Kodish. “Hopefully yeah, hopefully we’ll be back,” Gareth responded, before Kodish asked; “When’s it on? Next January? Yeah probably, I think that’s what we’re looking at,” with Gareth adding, “We’d like to, definitely.”
So there you have it – the first rumour for 2009’s Big Day Out tour. Having witnessed Pendulum in all their live glory during their April tour, ITM can only imagine the mayhem their incendiary show would cause on the Boiler Room stage. Here’s hoping Gareth and Kodish have made their wishes known to the powers-that-be!

after bdo last year am wondering whether it would be worth going again... ever I was totally bummed at the start of the year that i'd wasted my money on bdo when i could have gone to the V festival All i know is melbourne bdo sucked ass - shit venue, 90% bogan crowd, fucking stupid way of running a bar too (remembered why i've always snuck in my own)- oh and what was with that bottleneck btwn the boiler room and everything else? I spent 20mins standing waiting for security guards to stop scratching their heads and work out what the fuck to do on more than one occasion and ended up missing bands because of it BDO used to be the only real festival on - now there are so many other way better festivals happening - the only reason BDO sold out was because of Rage - who no-one could see because of the shit venue anyway Previously I've blown off BDO and instead spent more money going to sideshows - i'd rather spend a whole lot more money going to a bunch of sideshows and seeing the performers do an awesome job without the hassle of shit organisation, dickheads and a day of either standing in one spot for 4hrs to negotiate the D and see a fave act - OR run around all day seeing bits and pieces and then not get a chance to see any of the headliners properly So over it - Pendulum rock - hopefully they'll do something cooler - anything cooler

BDO in sydney was great, Of the 4 festivals i went to this year it held the most positives... only bummer is trying to get home from olympic park

i've also heard rumours that The Prodigy is also scheduled to play at BDO 09. Definately be there for them and pendulum

Does anyone know if pendulum is doing a side show? I ahve BDO tix but am buying prodigy sideshow and will def do pendulum if they do one which would mean I'd be selling my BDO tix!!
