After much hand wringing and speculation, it’s finally been confirmed that the biggest event on the trance calendar Godskitchen will indeed be returning in 2008. This year’s edition will be known as the ‘Australian Angel in White Tour,’ and it’ll be the 10th anniversary of the brand visiting Australia. While there’s no confirmation of dates, details or lineup so far, Future Entertainment have already dropped more than a few hints as to what we can expect.
It’s looking like this year will be bringing a cutting-edge selection of nu-trance DJ/producers with Sander Van Doorn, John O’Callaghan, Menno de Jong and Matt Darey being the names who have been hotly tipped to headline the tour, with Jon O’Bir also confirmed by Mark James himself only just today on the forums. And while last year’s party in Melbourne was the best so far in terms of production, we can apparently “expect bigger and better for 2008,” with a new venue also a possibility for the Sydney show.
The only upset is that UK trance icons Above & Beyond, who’ve been on pretty much everybody’s wishlist for this year’s tour, won’t be making an appearance at Godskitchen in 2008. Future has implied however that they’ll be back for a special festival appearance later in the year. Above & Beyond for Creamfields’ big debut in Australia? Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
Stay tuned to ITM for more Godskitchen details as they come to hand.
