We may be in the dead of winter right now, but there’s an exciting energy already building around the summer festival season at the end of the year. ITM recently announced that after its successful debut in Melbourne last year, the Stereosonic festival would be taking it national in 2008. And now, courtesy of inthemix’s own forums we have confirmation on one mighty headliner which the tour will be boasting – none other than Germany’s Paul van Dyk.

‘07 was a massive year for the dance music veteran. Turning heads with his decision to adopt a new approach to DJing that saw him embracing the full potential of digital technology, he released his acclaimed In Between artist album and toured Australia on two separate occasions. ‘08 has kicked off in grand style so far with several high-profile live sets doing the rounds on the net, showing him pushing the technology to the limits with often brain-bending results.

One of dance music’s most enduring talents and a figure who continues to push it into the future, he’ll no doubt be in full flight when he returns for Stereosonic in late November and early December.
