Earthdance is coming back in September, and as Sydney’s biggest free music festival it’s no surprise the organisers need as much financial help as possible to make the party happen. They’ll be holding a special fundraiser event in August, so if you’re a fan of the festival and what it stands for (world peace!) be sure to check the party out. At the very least, you’ll have a great night dancing it up to some of Sydney’s finest live and DJ talent. Seriously, the line-up is huge! It all goes down at The Bourbon, The Cross and The Bunker in Kings Cross on Saturday August 9th. Entry is a measly $10 before 11pm and $20 after, with all proceeds going towards funding the Earthdance main event in September.

seems like you are a very positive person, out of 40,000 people there were 5 kids on G, 1 person like yourself - bored of life, and 39,994 people happy and trying to party at least once a year with a bit of positive intention rather doing whatever you are doing that you feel so special... and depressed.. well - hope this will be a fun mini festival - remember - all the proceeds will go towards making Earthdance Sydney a sustainable free community festival with the best music and vibe! Spread the word! a good word! :)

Of all the festivals on the calender, bar none, Earthdance is the one most geared towards noble ideals {see not-for-profit, giving to charities, held globally to coincide with UN World Peace week etc}... it also showcases aspects of Sydney art, music and culture that are overlooked by other festivals who focus solely on commercial imperatives. There will always be a few irresponsible people every time there is a large public gathering of any kind, but to generalise based on this is misplaced and a little sad, especially when so many people rated Earthdance 07 as one of the best festivals, community-based or otherwise, of last year. Bring on Earthdance '08!
