Digitalism in Australia this NYE

In a week that’s seen Global Gathering’s tremendous first round of artists announced as well as confirmation Eric Prydz will tour Australia over NYE, you’d be forgiven for thinking we’ve had enough excitement for the time being. Well, think again, as we’ve got another international heavyweight to add to the ‘coming soon’ list!

German electro duo Digitalism were announced today in the first round of artists for Victoria’s Pyramid Rock Festival across the new year period. The festival hits Phillip Island between December 29th and January 1st, so it can be safely assumed they’ll be squeezing in a raft of shows elsewhere around the country across the December and January party period.

Digitalism were last in Australia as part of Parklife last year, touring live to support their acclaimed debut album Idealism. They recently unleashed a mix compilation on French label Kitsune called Tabloid, and as a result have been touring their DJ show around Europe heavily. The line-up for Pyramid bills them as playing ‘live’, so we can only hope they’re bringing the full show down under once again!

Stay tuned to ITM for updates.

Great we can watch them pretend to twist EQ buttons while we listen to a pre-recorded set. If they were bad producers I would have no respect for them because their live show is so fake it's deplorable. I think my balls could play drums better than the fat dude!

I don't know if you were too wasted to realise but they had massive tech issues at Parklife Syd, and ended up pulling the plug on their whole system and bringing out the fuzzy set of CDJ's to at least pump Jupiter Room as a closer... Which almost made up for it.
