She’s been one of the most hyped artists of 2008, with her self-titled debut album well and truly delivering on the expectation. She is Santogold, and if UK indie rag NME is to be believed, she’ll be down in our part of the world this NYE/NYD!

To date the rumour mill had her tipped for Parklife and then for the Big Day Out, but NME report Ms Santi White will in fact be one of the headline acts at the Rhythm & Vines festival in New Zealand between December 29th and January 1st.

It’s highly unlikely she’d make it all the way down to our neck of the woods without taking in a tour of Australia around the same time, so fingers crossed we get some Santogold action on our shores across the NYE/NYD party period.

With producers like Switch, Sinden and Freq Nasty all contributing to her debut album, Santogold is undoubtedly one of this year’s hottest artists. She also recently laid down vocals for the ‘Top Ranking’ mixtape with Diplo. She’s one cool cat!

Field Day? Falls Festival? Summafieldayze? Southbound? Summadayze? Sydney Festival? It’s anyone’s guess, but keep your eyes glued to ITM as we’ll bring you the full details as soon as they’re revealed!
