The Immigration Department of Australia are reviewing the latest application for famed gangster rapper Snoop Dogg’s impending tour, with media reports indicating the visit may be cancelled. Snoop is currently due to head down under in late October for the ‘Smoked Out’ tour alongside long time friend and fellow Californian hip hop icon Ice Cube and old-school favourites Bone Thugs-N-Harmony.
Snoop Dogg, aka Calvin Broadus, has always found himself imbroiled in controversy and kilometres of red tape when it comes to visiting Australia, with a past instance causing him to pull the plug on his hosting duties at the MTV Awards. Consulate officials say that all visa applications are treated with the utmost scrutiny, and it’s Snoop’s character has been drawn into question as he has a long list of past indiscretions, including drugs and weapons charges.
The ‘Smoked Out’ tour is currently planned for the following dates and venues:
Wed Oct 29 – Entertainment Centre, Brisbane
Fri Oct 31 – Acer Arena, Sydney
Sun Nov 2 – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
Wed Nov 5 – Entertainment Centre, Adelaide
Fri Nov 7 – Burswood Dome, Perth
Check out ITM’s recent interview with Ice Cube if you’d like to get yourself mentally prepared for the tour!

Mr. McManus said: “I wasn’t involved in the previous application but my understanding is it came about very quickly. It takes a few months to go through all the required procedures with the Immigration Department, which we’ve done, and there’s been no problem. Snoop is really looking forward to being here again.”
