We’re well aware that Friction and Lexington Music have a gift for finding unique venues for their events. First they had us descend on the iconic (and expensive) landscaped surrounds of Commonwealth Place at Foreshore. Then, the national sporting arena at the AIS copped a rave-like transformation for Warehouse. Now, one of Australia’s most recognised buildings, Old Parliament House, is about to get the treatment… and we’re loving it!

The old House of Representatives is no longer a ghostly chamber of past political dog fights. As of Sunday, October 5, live acts and DJs will fill the space, and this time there won’t be any policy making or debates over workplace breast-feeding. No, Mr. Chairman, the Our House launch party is gonna tear the roof off this joint. The inaugural Our House brings you some of the best in the business, and following the launch the intimate venue will become one of the best places to chill on a summer Sunday.
