Harbourlife went onsale to the general public today, Thursday September 4th, at midday, and even though there’s been quite a lot of heated discussion and debate on the quality of this year’s line-up, critics of the event will no doubt be silenced when they hear it’s sold out once again, and this year in only 6 minutes!
“Thanks to everyone who bought tickets,” Fuzzy said upon announcing the sell out. “We’ll be seeing you on November 22nd.” Harbourlife 2008 returns to their famed location on the edge of Sydney Harbour at Mrs Macquarie’s Point and features Felix Da Housecat, DJ Sneak and Feadz, with more artists still to be announced.
Stay tuned to ITM for updates.

they may have sold the festival out in 6 minutes, but there reputation was damaged in 1 second, when that line up was announced.

The real wankers are those who winge about the line up all the time. Those of us who managed to get tix know there's gunna be plenty of drinks, an awesome location, and most importantly HOUSE MUSIC!!

You're all morons. complaining about the line-up, the line-up is secondary, its the best location for the best party of the year, thats why you go.
Hetfield says...

everyone's right, people are going for the venue alone the line up is still really sh*t! "with more artists still to be announced." they better be announcing some real damn good artists!

Harbourlife is an amazing day and the DJs on board are world class. Seems like those of you who are complaining have some sort of deluded notion of musical genius. Just enjoy the day, music and party with a close group of friends; for that is what its all about isnt it? Memories of smiles and fun times, not of critique and a large dose of tall poppy syndrome...
rickard says...
aww it was always goin sell out super fast ,even with the below average lineup
asoca_it says...
Just shows that you can dangle shit on a stick infront of everyone and people will jump like crazy. Again proves that the "in" thing sells tickets over the actual quality of the line up. While this keeps happening promoters dont need to push the bar on providing good quality festivals with new ideas, rotating the same old Djs that we see year after year, festival after festival lines their pockets beautifully so why change anything...
Junk Science says...
a lot of people don't necessarily go to harbourlife or any party that matter, for the music. More to have a good time in general. It would be nice for serious music fans to have the opportunity to see their favourite artists playing at a location like fleet steps. it is a PARTY though, not a concert. Put the same dj's in a diferent location and it probably wouldn't sell out, props have to go to Fuzzy for sourcing this location and all the others they have broken for the first time in Sydney.

all those people who keep on criticising the line up need to just wait a second and think; Felix and Sneak are both international stars with a great reputation for delivering the goods, so while the line-up thus far is a little thing in terms of internationals it just means they will play longer and more intense sets rather than the future style of everyone playing for 45min...really quality over quantity needs to be stressed here...too bad I missed out though!
