Reigning world #1 DJ Armin van Buuren is set to return to Australia early in 2009, headlining Queensland’s Summafieldayze festival alongside previously announced heavyweight electronica duo Underworld.

The announcement of van Buuren for the festival will come as a surprise to many considering he was here only a few months back, however for his numerous fans around the country it’ll no doubt serve as the perfect way to welcome in the new year. 2008 has been a massive year for Armin, especially in Australia as he debuted his legendary ‘Armin Only’ events for the first time outside of Holland in Sydney and Melbourne. The shows were sold out arena spectaculars, and he clearly enjoyed his time here to be coming back so soon! Summafieldayze is set to hit Doug Jennings Park on the Gold Coast, Saturday January 3rd, supported by inthemix. Joining Underworld and van Buuren, you’ll also be able to catch legendary house producer Eric Prydz and fellow Dutch trancer Ferry Corsten. It’s an amazing line-up, so expect tickets for this one to fly out the door!
