Did you make it along to Earthdance on Saturday? Mother nature surely turned on a good day for it, with the lovely warm weather meaning thousands turned out for the free festival for peace at Prince Alfred Park in Surry Hills. Check out the inthemix galleries from the day to see what went down, you might even spot yourself in there somewhere! Also keep your eyes glued to our video section over the coming weeks as we’ll have a clip from the day online soon.
“With a huge public turnout the Earthdance team worked in tandem with the authorities to ensure the festival ran as smoothly as it did and provided a peaceful and sociable environment at all times,” said Earthdance organisers in a post event press release. “The day was such a success that Prince Alfred Park reached capacity three hours before the scheduled close, and with thousands of patrons still queuing outside a decision was made to shut the gates early and adjust the performance schedule to ensure that the comfortable and safe environment was preserved.”

"grenno".. you are from sydney and you don't know what a 'lad' is.. It is the Sydney equivalent to a chav, if you don't know what a chav is you have been living under a rock, GOOGLE IS YOUR FRIEND. Sydney really has to check itself, are people attending these events for the music? or purely to get off their dial on as many drugs as they can swallow, take off their t-shirts to show off their mad steroid-induced bulging muscles or fresh southern cross tattoo. I attend a lot of festivals and it is just getting worse and worse, the one Festival that doesn't have any of this is Splendour in the Grass.. it seems you really have to escape civilization to have a good time at a festival nowadays. Lads.. Stay at home or on the train tracks painting trains, DONT COME TO THESE EVENTS. Lebs.. Stay out west where you can roam in your packs of 5 and feel like real men, you put your race to shame. Aussie 'shire' types.. stay on the beach or at the gym and work on your tan/muscles, I feel ashamed to call my self "Australian" with you lot around.. to all the people who were there FOR THE MUSIC, and to enjoy a nice beer on a spring afternoon, good on you, I take my hat off, I wish there were more of you around, to the rest, sorry to sound blunt, but FUCK OFF.

I'm from the shire and I am a "shire type". However, I attend festivals as a music lover. I'm confused, am I allowed to go? Your generalisations are fucking retarded.
patrout says...
my definition of shire type is a 'bogan' aussie who runs around off his dial with his shirt off yelling pick up lines at any girl that passes and he thinks hes king shit, if you fit into that stereo type then yeah, stay away from me please.
