It certainly didn’t take long for Snoop Dogg’s October/November tour to be called into question after it was initially announced a few weeks back, with the media reporting his visa was once again in question. Initially billed as the ‘Smoked Out’ tour with Ice Cube and Bone Thugs-N-Harmony, perhaps its new – and decidedly more PC – title of ‘The West Coast Originals Tour’ had something to do with it being given the all clear?
Regardless, the tour’s promoter Andrew McManus Presents have officially confirmed that it’s all systems go for Snoop Dogg’s impending visit. “The Immigration Department has now completed their review and granted the full Visa, confirming the legendary rapper’s tour can proceed,” read a press release issued by McManus earlier this week. “I’m pleased the Immigration Department has shown common sense and allowed Snoop’s tour to go ahead. This will be great news for fans all over Australia.”
In other Snoop related news, the Herald Sun reports he’ll be fronting up for some spring carnival racing action when in Melbourne next month, with rumours doing the rounds that he’ll appear in the Lavazza marquee on either Derby Day or Race Day.
Tour dates:
Wed 29 Oct – Entertainment Centre, Brisbane
Fri 31 Oct – Acer Arena, Sydney
Sun 2 Nov – Rod Laver Arena, Melbourne
Wed 5 Nov – Entertainment Centre, Adelaide
Fri 7 Nov – Burswood Dome, Perth
Tickets for ‘The West Coast Originals Tour’ go onsale Wednesday September 17th.
