Fresh from his recent MySpace Music rant, electro pop posterboy Muscles has had... [more]
As revealed on ITM back in August the Bang Gang crew have been busy putting the finishing touches on their latest mix CD opus for Modular, following on from 2007’s Light Sound Dance with the smugly titled D Is For Disco, E Is For Dancing, which hits stores on October 25th (check the album artwork below).
Split across two discs, it should come as no surprise that the tracklisting features some pretty eclectic stuff, with tracks and remixes from Underworld, MIA, Digitalism, The Presets, A-Trak, Switch, Crookers and Boys Noize featuring. Alongside the big names, however, there’s a stack of more obscure and emerging artists, including Late Of The Pier, Holy Ghost! and Kid Cudi. We all know the term ‘mash-up’ is a bit passe, but it was pretty much invented for CDs like this, yeah?
The first disc (D Is For Disco) is ‘suited for play in your cafe to accompany your piccolo latte or perfect for a session of qualudes on the couch’, so if you’re into chilling out on sedatives it’ll no doubt be the perfect soundtrack. On the flipside, disc two (E Is For Dancing) serves up ‘serious, shirts off, hedonistic virgin sacrifice-style partying’. All up there’s more than 70 tracks!
