As promised on ITM earlier this week, the construction of hotly anticipated new boutique Sydney nightclub Nevermind is now finished, and details for their launch weekend are finally available!

The venue has been a long time coming, with plans in place now for almost a year. The brainchild of Scott Robertson (of Kink fame) and Steve Lowe, it’ll open its doors to the public on the October long weekend. The perfect time to party! Nevermind has a Funktion One soundsystem, edgy decor and a forward thinking music policy, so it’ll no doubt prove to be a popular destination for discerning clubbers in Sydney.

Starting things off, on Friday October 4th it’s Locodisco, a night of ‘stone-cold classic disco jams’, house and techno. Special guests up from Melbourne are Andee Van Damage and Luke McD, who’ll be joined by Perfect Snatch, Magic Happens, Ash le Rouge, Vivi Not Disco and Matttt & Tomas.

Then on Saturday it’s time to welcome back an old favourite, with the long-overdue return of Kink! One of Sydney’s most loved clubnights, Kink heads in a new direction at Nevermind, and for the launch party you’ll be able to catch Murat Kilic, Ben Morris, Reno, Foundation, Ben Korbel and Trinity.

Finally, on Sunday it’s everyone’s favourite weekend-ender… Smut! And with it being a long weekend you be assured it’ll be a night to remember, as everyone will be ready and raring to kick-on well into Monday. They’re promising a suprise international guest, along with Ben Morris, Goodfella, John Glover and Pink Pong DJs (Brenden Fing and Nukewood).

Stay tuned to ITM for updates, including photo galleries from all of the weekend’s launch events!
