Take a look at the 2009 Good Vibrations Festival line-up in picture form!

It’s been a point of furious discussion and debate on inthemix over the past few weeks, with many joining in on the fun of the Good Vibrations Festival’s ‘guess the line-up’ game. You don’t need to speculate any longer, as inthemix can now give you the full rundown on first round artists for the festival’s 2009 tour!

Topping the bill it’s the original party-starter and one of the dance scene’s longest serving and most renowned DJs, the one and only Fatboy Slim! He’ll be joined by Australia’s most powerful live dance act – who are coming off the back of their biggest year ever in 2008 – ARIA nominated indie duo The Presets. Not to be outdone, Philadelphia’s finest The Roots are also on board, and they’ll be bringing their 100% live hip-hop show to headline The Roots stage of course!

As well as the tried and tested favourites, Good Vibrations will also serve up some exciting new names to the Australian festival circuit in 2009, with Canada’s fast rising star of the global club scene Deadmau5 joining the bill, along with electro-pop’s new crown prince Sam Sparro. A certified legend in drum & bass circles, Roni Size will be coming back with his Reprazent live band in town for their first Australian tour since 2001, and having rocked local audiences last summer we’ll also get another dose of electro-funk gods Chromeo.

Of course that’s only the tip of the iceberg, as you’ll also get to see the Stanton Warriors, The Potbelleez, Kid Kenobi & MC Shureshock, Micky Slim, Yelle, Wale, The Cuban Brothers, Rico Tubbs and Mike Relm. Plus… supreme beatboxer Supernatural will on hosting duties throughout the day! For the Melbourne folk, also take note that the venue has now been revealed, with Good Vibrations moving to a brand new location in 2009, The Nursery at Flemington Racecourse.
