In what is set to be the year’s biggest hip hop spectacle, Kanye West is bringing his Glow In The Dark tour to Australia – with special guest Nas. Last week we reported DJ Craze let dates slip for a scheduled tour of Australia in December supporting Kanye, but it turns out that was only half the story.

West has taken the Glow In The Dark concept right around America, calling on special guests like Lupe Fiasco and N.E.R.D. True to his rigorous demands, the shows put an emphasis on first-rate production design, staging and sound. Not to mention the man’s gold-plated repertoire of hits – from Jesus Walks to Flashing Lights.

Securing legendary wordsmith Nas as his offsider in Australia only sweetens the deal. We’ve had a few false starts with Nas here, but it seems in December we’ll finally see him in action. It’s as good a time as any, with his most recent release Untitled following a long line of defiant, incisive albums. Upping the star power, New Zealand heavyweight Scribe will open each show.
