Disco prince Ajax has dropped a bombshell in a video interview with Pedestrian.tv this week, revealing he’s decided to move from Sydney to Melbourne, and also buy into a live/club venue. “Yeah I’ve moved to Melbourne,” the two-time inthemix50 #1 DJ remarked. “[I’ve] bought in to a club down there, it’s called Again. It’s a live venue and a club.”
Having been a firm fixture in Sydney clubs for well over a decade, it seems the Bang Ganger’s decision to move was motivated by the city’s high cost of living. “Sydney’s too expensive! I’ve lived there all my life, and it’s too expensive,” he justifies in the video, which was filmed Fun Club’s first birthday event at Fringe Bar in Sydney on September 24th. “It’s so expensive to live [in Sydney], how are people meant to go out! Fun is a state of mind.”
