After kicking things off with a bang last week in Melbourne and Gold Coast, the Godskitchen 2008 ‘Angel in White’ tour wrapped up its run in Sydney and Perth over the weekend with the same unbeatable all-star ‘nu trance’ lineup of Sander Van Doorn, John O’Callaghan, Jon O’Bir and Menno De Jong. The photos have hit ITM, check them out here…

While the Perth event at Metro City received fantastic feedback from the punters (check it out HERE in the forums), there haveve been major misgivings about the level of production seen at the Sydney event (expressed in the ITM forums HERE). It was the first time that Future Entertainment had attempted to shift the annual event from the city’s clubs and into an arena-style show, and while the lower than expected ticket sales meant the setup had understandably been scaled back from the massive event witnessed in Melbourne last weekend, the other issues experienced by the punters were related to poor sound and over an hour wait to buy drinks. The low point of the evening came with the technical problems experienced during Jon O’Bir’s set, which saw the party plunged into silence for over five minutes before the sound was restored.
Issues with production aside, Godskitchen 2008 still managed to deliver when it came to the music itself. Stand out performances for the Sydney leg of the tour came from Holland’s Sander van Doorn, who mesmerised the crowd with an impeccably programmed set of his signature tech/progressive trance, and Irishman John O’Callaghan who drive the night home with a driving selection of anthemic trance.
