You can’t really fault Mark Farina’s house music lineage. He’s been in the game for more than 20 years, having established a reputation as one of house music’s most respected identities, as a DJ, producer, remixer and label owner.

Complementing his work in the house scene, Farina has also gained cult status for his Mushroom Jazz mix CDs, which see him widening the barrier to take in elements of hip-hop, nujazz and downbeat.

He’s about to release the sixth installment in the Mushroom Jazz series, and in November he’ll touch down for a run of shows along the east coast. If you’re a serious househead, there’s no doubt these parties will be on your ‘must do’ list.
