While the flashy crew from the Ed Banger and Kitsune labels might be the ones dominating the limelight, it was Joakim who was dubbed the “Godfather of French Electro” by I-D Magazine. He’s indeed considered royalty in the Parisian electronic scene, and this November he’ll be touring Australia for the very first time. Original tracks like Lonely Hearts and I Wish You Were Gone were responsible for building his reputation, and most recently his rework of DJ Mehdi’s Pocket Piano is looking to prove a dancefloor hit.
National Joakim dates…
Sydney – Friday 14 November @ Civic Underground
Brisbane – Saturday 15 November @ Barsoma
Melbourne – Friday 21 November @ La Di Da
Perth – Saturday 22 November @ Ocean Beach Hotel
Adelaide – Sunday 23 November @ Sugar
