See the NeverEverLand line-up in all its glory here!
As revealed on inthemix recently, Modular will return to the festival market in December to take their NeverEverLand party across the country in celebration of their momentous 10th anniversary. Many have quietly speculated on how they’d top the splendour of Daft Punk’s stadium tour last year. In their usual style, they’ve answered the question with their tongue firmly planted in cheek.
“So how do you even begin to attempt to follow up and surpass such an event?” the NeverEverLand press release reads. “Well, you don’t. But in 1998 Modular Recordings was born, a label that in the time since has gone on to become arguably the most influential Australian independent record label of the last 5000 years, one described by the NME as the “coolest label on the planet”. To celebrate 10 years of stayin alive, this years NeverEverLand festival is the official birthday party, with a swathe of the labels biggest and best acts of the last decade on show.”
With the tour marking such a significant milestone in the label’s existence it should come as no surprise that it features all of their biggest, best and brightest stars. Standing atop the tree you’ll find The Presets, fresh from scooping the pool at the ARIA Awards. They’ll be ably supported by nu-rave icons Klaxons and Melbourne’s doyens of indie dance, Cut Copy. Not to be outdone, Modular have also invited along several acts that share a similar musical vision, including disco revivalists Hercules & Love Affair of the DFA label and Erland Oye’s new project Whitest Boy Alive. You want more? Ok, how about Ladyhawke, The Bumblebeez, Muscles, Van She, Tame Impala, Bang Gang DJs, Ajax, Lost Valentinos, Mission Control, Temper Trap, Canyons, Pepperoni, Andee Van Damage and the Bag Raiders.

another festival? modular's organisation of daft punk sydney was amatuer in the extreme
Bill_Gotovac says...
fail
bj9999 says...
Thats it? Good luck filling the music bowl with that lineup!
fatman1234 says...
One less ticket I have to buy, no one interests me. With the organisation of last year, it'd have to be something as big as Daft Punk to get me to go.
LisaP_ says...
Ill go for Presets and Ladyhawke...
micsway says...
swing and a miss
asoca_it says...
Yawn... The only decent thing about the last Nevereverland was daft punk, with this line up they might be struggling. The last one had the worst organisation ever, i will never go to any of their events ever again!!
Brett17 says...
Lame...
matzta73 says...
Too many festivals are flooding the market..... I think some will not last the distance, especially with a line-up like this. OH HUM....
bussyboy says...
Shame if this spells the end of modular - aren't they already struggling financially??
mattos000 says...
thats the worst line up ive ever seen
dj_elmaz says...
looks like last year,, only no DaftPunk, hahahhaha, goodluck!!
petebb22 says...
if its all ages they will sell out otherwise they might not sell a ticket
funkytom says...
more of the same... blah
The3rdPlumpDj says...
There are a lot of good artists there... you guys should be alot more supportive for a great australian label putting on a show with most of our best exports... anyways you want to bag it out make a suggestion... i was hoping for an avalanches resurrection with a new album
shunji says...
you guys are lame. hercules
austraboy says...
not exactly worth the tension... however if tickets aren't too pricey I'd be keen
Frank_K says...
Ticket price? If they charge over $60 they're dreamin'
hillyj77 says...
it better be cheap as they have no big name internationals.
hanky says...
Yuck
BigGroovyFcuker says...
in the current financial climate, with even established festivals taking some time to sell out, in an already saturated sydney festival market, comprising a mediocre line-up, given past punter experiences with their ability to organise such events = FAIL phew. i hope H
Seamus Ryan says...
fail. that is all
danmau5 says...
not impressed.... hercules
DJHUI says...
Fuck yeah, Klaxons
trajik says...
Cool, shit line up. Won't have to worry about spending more money :D Hopefully Tame Impala play a sideshow.
campbellt says...
Is it a concert or a festival...meaning a day or night gig?
Lewis_Woot says...

GrEnNo says...

Dance for me says...
with no major international acts, you can't expect to compete with the other festivals going around! Presets are headlining yet are supporting prydz and underworld at shorething.....isn't that enough of a hint?!
etienne says...

Schillaci says...
Modular could not organise a root in a brothel! FAIL!
James Brooks says...
hahahahah .....NOT GOING
campbellt says...
Shit line-up, Presets play at every gig now days...not a big crowd puller. Klaxon ok but that's about it. With that line-up you would think it would be roughly 80 bucks.
Spiro says...
yawn
breaks_tuff says...
This is the funniest thing I have ever seen. Temper Trap are the only good act - and seen them live at an intimate venue anyway. But they're a straight rock act I didn't think were signed to modular? Weird addition. They don't deserve to be associated with the other tripe
ari202 says...
sweet. Another $100 saved.
MessyDJ says...
Definately one of the lamest lineups Ive seen for a festival in a while...would only go if it was cheap as chips.
latin_deluxe says...
add JUSTICE and I'm there...
bazman88 says...
Ladyhawke side show PLEASE.... she;s all i want to see!
rowandix says...
thats a pretty solid day's music. All modular have to do is make sure the price is right. There have been worse line ups that people have raved about this year.
Spekman says...
thats sooooo rubbish... at least last year they had daft punk, and they still stuffed it up....
nickyboy says...
pretty shit hoose indeed!! bag raiders r a joke!! electro is slowly dying!! same sound!!
Jinkas says...
It was pretty obvious daft punk couldnt be upstaged
bussyboy says...
As already suggested - sub $60 tix all ages could yet save this thing...
peceman says...
Superb lineup.... How about Junior Boyz
nnaatthhaann says...
you all gotta stop hatin, and start appreciatin.
Patrick1 says...

ryancass87 says...
shut up all u idiots. this line up is absolutely smoking. muscles. cut copy, and presets, geeez. and to the idiot that says theres no internation acts. wake up u wanker. the presets ARE an international act. theyve been everywhere
asil86 says...
klaxons f*ck yes. ladyhawke f*ck yes I WANT SIDE SHOWS!!!!!!!!!!! hot chip would been sick to see..... muscles? wtf. why?
amanda fantastique says...
this will sell out quickly, presets are officially the biggest band in australia ( world) right now. Plus Klaxons are the cherry on top. All you haters come accross as immature brats trying to position your pretentious music taste, against the success that modular has created globally for themselves.
Juice1983 says...
Haha i bet all u tossers complaining are from sydney, heard u gig sucked last year, eat shit! Riverstage went off. As for this lineup not being as good as last year...name an act that was going to be better then daft punk........oh u cant....the lineup has heaps of decent up and coming acts, u guys need to pull ur heads out of your arses and listen to some new music
mm_isbella says...
geeezus. the reaction isn't all that positive now is it?? it does look dangerously similar to last year's Daft line up. hmm...
Blinky-Live- says...
yawn
ellenpatto says...

I dont care what people say, im going to suppport mod and have an effing fun time with my dancing shoes on, and no, no fluro for me thanks, guess i'll have to wear my cool ksubi jeans and hoodie for this one. tsk tsk. party up, its a summer of festivals, lets CELEBRATE FUN

oh my god, way to have a cry about the line-up. It's bloody awesome, sure Daft Punk ontop of it would of been great but it's still a great line up. Can't wait to see The Presets, Cut Copy, Ladyhawke, Van She and Bag Raiders. If you don't like it, shut up and don't go, don't waste effort posting.
