You’ve got NYE and NYD covered, but what about that first week of January, 2009? There’s more to keep you partying well into the New Year, with the Solar Music Festival the latest addition to the summer calendar. It’ll be held on Saturday 3rd January, 2009, at Mornington Racecourse. Covering a variety of genres, including rock, dance, hip hop and folk, there’s three stages and the line-up is all Australian.

Headlining the party, the ARIA conquering duo otherwise known as The Presets. They’ll be joined by powerhouse duo Pnau. Peninsula favourites Kisschasy will rock it out alongside You Am I and Cog, while folk-pop prince Josh Pyke and blues and roots group The Beautiful Girls will provide the chilled out vibes. That’s not all, however, as there’s Ajax, Phrase, Muph N Plutonic, TV Rock, Snob Scrilla and more.
