Earlier this week Future Entertainment announced arena shows for US live hip hop icons N*E*R*D in Sydney and Melbourne for early March, 2009. Now the window of dates for the Future Music Festival’s 2009 tour has been confirmed, and it certainly adds grist to the rumour mill that N*E*R*D will feature on the bill.
In addition, it’s also believed French house producer Lifelike will make the journey down under for the festival in 2009, and the rumour mill has gone into overdrive on the ITM forums and beyond, with Faithless, the Swedish House Mafia (aka Axwell, Steven Angello & Sebastian Ingrosso), Tocadisco and Joachim Garraud also suggested. The first round announcement is expected early next week, so to get the full lowdown remember to keep a close watch over ITM’s news section.
The Future Music Festival is highly regarded amongst the inthemix community, winning the Best Event category in Adelaide and Perth at this year’s inthemix50 awards, and always proving to be a hot topic of conversation across the site. In 2009 the tour will once again visit Sydney, Melbourne, Brisbane, Adelaide and Perth, this time between February 28th and March 9th.
