Here it is, exclusive to inthemix as promised, the first announcement of acts for the new Adelaide summer festival that’s good for the environment; Overflow at the Bay!

There’s been much speculation as to who is coming over for this, with many speculating on who is touring Australia around the time of the event. Well, wait no more, as the line-up is here! Topping the bill, it’s Chicago house legend Derrick Carter, and he’ll be joined by fellow American, the multi-instrumentalist Chuck Love. There’s heaps more to come, as well as a massive cast of local and interstate stars, so be sure to check this one out.

Overflow takes place on Australia Day in 2009, and they’ll be donating $2 from every bottle of water purchased at the event straight to the Wilderness Society. It’s a donation that won’t go astray, as the River Murray is in desperate need of attention, and if nothing is done to improve the irrigation system experts say there may be no Adelaide in 20 years!

A limited number of first release tickets go onsale for $65+bf from November 14th. Keep your eyes glued to ITM for updates.
