Having left the European festival circuit bruised and broken over the northern hemisphere summer, Toronto’s hottest property Crystal Castles have set their sights on Australia for early 2009. The duo were announced on the line-up for Playground Weekender in NSW earlier this month, but the rest of the country isn’t missing out.

Much like their self-titled debut album, a Crystal Castles live show is an all-out assault of unhinged electro, razor-sharp pop and glitchy freakouts. Then there’s the added appeal of having NME’s queen of cool (and certified loose cannon) Alice Glass as frontwoman. You have been duly warned!
