In contrast to Melbourne’s Global Gathering festival that was going on at the same time, the weather held out for Sydney’s Harbourlife on Saturday to deliver a sunny (if somewhat freezing) event that was in line with the party’s history and reputation. With a lineup that consisted of several acts who were also picked up to perform on the Global Gathering tour around the country, including Feadz, Felix Da Housecat and DJ Sneak, musically on Saturday there wasn’t a lot that was hugely cutting edge or memorable. But that’s almost besides the point – Harbourlife is known as a party with a view that money just can’t buy, and the pristine lookout over Sydney Harbour was a beautiful as ever. There’s a definitely a good reason why the party continues to sell out every year within minutes.
