An already bursting-at-the-seams Big Day Out bill has now filled out even further. The star of the third round announcement is undoubtedly Mike Patton’s unhinged four-piece Fantomas. Brisbane juggernaut The Butterfly Effect will get the moshpits moving, while blues revisionist Son Of Dave stirs up the Lilyworld.
Then there’s Barrence Whitfield and the Rockwiz Orkestra (they of SBS TV fame), Regurgitator frontman Quan doing his solo thing and dancefloor staple T-Rek in the Boiler Room. Melbourne and Sydney will also be treated to a set by our very own ‘80s alt-pop sensations The Reels.
