Joining superstars Underworld and Armin van Buuren are the final round of announcements for Perth’s Summadayze festival 2009, which will be held at the Supreme Court Gardens and the Esplanade on Sunday January 4. Leading out of the blocks and adding a rockin’ bite to the lineup are electro-hair metal purveyors (and one of Australia’s hottest live acts) the Galvatrons. Seriously, these guys have to be seen live to be believed. The final international addition is Burns. This snappy dresser is the hottest new export from the UK. Best known as Calvin Harris’ DJ, Burns also releases his own highly regarded work, not to mention remixing UK sensations Late of the Pier and Calvin “Dance Wiv Me” Harris himself.

Leading on the local front is a pioneering live act and a couple of Perth’s most famous DJs doing something a little different. Summadayze welcomes Yummy Fur Soundsytem and Perth’s leading DJs (and the only two ranked in the national inthemix50 this year) Micah and Kenny L. Speaking of additions, it has been revealed a new VIP Area will be available in 2009. This exclusive and premium marquee is the VIP way to enjoy Summadayze 2009.
