In 2008 Andy C reigned supreme once more as he was crowned Best DJ for the 10th successive year at the annual Drum and Bass Awards – a record for the D n’ B industry. He was also voted the most popular Drum and Bass artist in the DJ Mag Top 100 DJ Poll, coming in at an impressive number 50. Amidst all of the hype, he was busy running his Ram Records label, signing new talents, producing and travelling across the globe to play some of the biggest clubs. Andy C is indeed a busy man, but not too busy for Australia. Catch him later this month as he flies in with MC GQ for a string of shows across the country.

The Brit DJ/producer has journeyed far since messing with a drum kit as a kid. The young Andrew Clarke was exposed to the nascent dance music by his older sister – taking him to his first rave at thirteen. To this day, Andy, an ol’ skooler by heart, sticks to vinyl, resisting the software revolution by playing mainly dub plates that keep his sets fresh and ahead of the pack.

You can catch Andy C and MC GQ at the following dates across the country:

22nd January – Home, Sydney
23rd January – HQ Complex, Adelaide
24th January – Club HI FI Bar, Melbourne
25th January – Heavyweight Soundz @ Metro City, Perth
