Optimo have been hailed as one of the most respected DJ/producers duos working in underground dance music in the UK, but that doesn’t mean they don’t have time to lend their remix skills to massively popular acts like The Presets. Fresh off completing that project, the duo of JD Twitch and JG Wilkes will be returning to Australia for a series of club shows.
If you’re familiar with their famous Glasgow club night of the same name, you’ll know what to expect from the Optimo experience. 1997 they founded their night as a reaction to their boredom from hearing 4/4 techno all night long, intent on mixing things up with a more diverse music policy. They’re still going strong in 2009 with regular spots from the likes of LCD Soundsystem, Luciano, Four Tet and many other acts of similar status!
