Mark Dynamix (aka MDX) and Cog drummer Lucius Borich have teamed up to revamp the holy grail of Channel 9 cricket coverage, adding their own unique touch to the recently completed Twenty20 series and current One-Day match theme song.

Made famous throughout years of legendary cricket coverage, the signature intro tune has been given a rather interesting update for the new millennium. Dynamix contributes scratches to the remake, while Borich adds a rock & roll flavour. Love it or hate it, it’s certainly a sign of the times.

“When they handed me the recordings, even though they had been remastered a couple of times, they were still the originals from 1972,” Dynamix said of the tune and the process. “I couldn’t believe it.”

You can check out the new intro tune below (from 1.05 minutes in):

Nobody has hearted this, be the first Be the first!

Obviously this is the target demographic. The trady and the clubber. I cant stand the scratching, but hey, its not like they would of let him put any kind of other synth in there. The ancient cricket board beleive 'scatching is electronic music (what DEEJ

baha, i sounds so shit but i'm sure the boys are well aware of that. I think they've done the best they could with the brief they would have been given. 10 points to them for not making absolute balls of it
