Fatboy Slim speaks out on Good Vibrations technical hiccups

Anyone who was front and centre for Fatboy Slim at the Sydney leg of Good Vibrations on Saturday would have no doubt noticed a few technical mishaps throughout the legendary DJ’s set. There’s been a lot of speculation on what exactly went wrong, and after backing up the next day at the Melbourne event with a set that was widely given the thumbs up from punters, Fatboy – AKA Norman Cook – made a public statement regarding Saturday’s unfortunate events.

“The Sydney crowd this evening were amazing! Despite receiving a complete soaking from the biblical downpour that accompanied the entire set (I haven’t seen weather like that since back home at Glastonbury 2 years ago), they kept me going during the technical nightmare that was my left turntable going down and me having to do the last half hour of the set with one deck and some very un-DJ-like silences… Sydney I salute you!”

Were you there to check out the Fatboy’s set in Sydney or Melbourne? Let us know what you thought, and check out photos from the event below…
