It certainly was a tale of two cities on the first weekend of the 2009 Good Vibrations Festival tour, with Sydney experiencing some of the worst weather conditions of the summer season – rain, wind and bitter cold! – while in Melbourne it was a splendid and warm affair.
Regardless of Mother Nature’s display, there’s no denying that festival-goers at both events made the best of the situation, partying the day and night away in good spirits. Canadian star Deadmau5 has received widespread praise for his closing sets on the Laundry stage at both events, while headliner Fatboy Slim suffered a few technical set backs in Sydney before ironing out the kinks for his Melbourne show on Sunday.
Our galleries from both Sydney and Melbourne are now online. Be sure to take a look through and see just how different the two festivals were, and stay tuned for our Good Vibrations episode of inthemix.tv, coming this week!
