There’s already been details leaking out on where world #1 DJ Armin van Buuren would be appearing on his Australian tour this June Long Weekend, including a shock appearance on the We Love Sounds lineup in Adelaide and Sydney as well as top billing on the brand new Winter Sound System in Melbourne. However, ITM now has the official word on all the national dates he’ll be playing while in Australia, as well as news on his support DJ for the tour and how long he’ll be playing in every city. Bring it on!
We’re become accustomed to extended sets from Armin (can you remember the last time he came to Australia and played a piddling 2-hour set?), and Future Entertainment have confirmed the tradition will continue in 2009. He’ll be playing a minimum of 4 hours, and as much as 6 hours at every show across the country.
It’s also been confirmed that he’ll be joined on ‘guest support’ duties by fellow Dutchman and Armada signing Matthew Dekay, a DJ/producer known for his distinctly melodic, lush and groove-laden take on the progressive sound. His records are the type you’d hear in the peaktime drive of a Deep Dish, Digweed or Hernan Cattaneo set, but he carries the sort of musical ethos that ties in perfectly with Armin’s pledge to bring us the “very best in trance and progressive.”
Check below for the full list of Armin’s national dates, and stay tuned for more coverage as the June Long Weekend draws near…

Friday 5th June – Metro City, Perth (sold out)
