The Sounds crew had already dropped the massive bomb that world #1 DJ Armin van Buuren would be headlining this year’s We Love Sounds festival in Sydney, as well as the presence of Armand Van Helden, James Zabiela and Laidback Luke. ITM can now confirm the full lineup of acts that we’ll be seeing over the June Long Weekend, which will be even bigger in 2009 than ever before. Like previous events it’ll be spread across the Hordern Pavilion, RHI and The Forum within the Fox Studios complex, but this year it’ll also be spreading out to encompass a ‘Bigtop’ area in Moore Park just across the road from the Hordern.

Some of the biggest additions to the second round lineup announcement (with the third round due within the next couple of weeks) includes house and progressive powerhouse Chris Lake who’ll be touring in support of his new album, Holland’s 16 Bit Lolitas and electro heavyweight Kissy Sell Out who’ll be returning to Australia with his full live show. Also on the harder-edged electro tip you can add Headman, France’s ultra-hip Institubes, LA sensation Guns N’ Bombs and more.

And as expected, We Love Sounds will be heavily represented on the techno and minimal side of the equation. Visiting Australia for the very first time will be Cocoon Record DJ/producer Guy Gerber who’ll be performing live, as well as Anja Schneider, Popof, Sascha Funke and also Justin Martin, compatriot of Claude Von Stroke on San Francisco’s Dirty Bird label.
