Two of the US club scene’s freshest names will hit Australian clubs in late May, playing solo and side-by-side dates across the country. If you’re not accustomed to the names DJ Ayres or Nick Catchdubs it’s time to get familiar.
Ayres is founding father of legendary NYC monthly party The Rub, and he’s DJed with some the dance and hip hop scene’s biggest names, including Ghostface Killah, Public Enemy, Snoop Dogg, Diplo, Spank Rock, LCD Soundsystem, Justice and The Chemical Brothers.
For his second Australian tour (DJ Ayres last visited us in October, 2007) he’ll be joined by Nick Catchdubs, co-founder of the Fools Gold label with the one and only A-Trak. Nick has also made a name for himself in the production department, remixing for M.I.A, Daniel Merriweather and Dr. Octagon, to name a few.
