So far The Presets have sold more than 50,000 tickets for their forthcoming Australian tour. No mean feat for a country in the grips of an economic crisis, right? Meh, who needs to eat when you want to rock/rave, and as we all know this will be your final chance to catch The Presets in 2009, as they’re about to enter hibernation and begin work on album number three.
They’ve already sold out two shows apiece at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney and Festival Hall in Melbourne, as well as Newcastle and Geraldton. And now to cope with the demand the band have revealed they’re moving to a bigger venue in Canberra (from ANU to AIS Arena), adding a second show in Adelaide at Thebarton Theatre, and they’ve also announced a brand new date for the Gold Coast. Biggest band in Australia right now? You better believe it.
