We’re still a little way off the full announcement for Parklife 2009, but it hasn’t stopped the rumours coming in thick and fast with all manner of names being bandied about for Fuzzy’s annual festival jaunt. Truth or rumour? You be the judge!
Lady Sovereign and MSTRKRFT have already made their intentions clear and dates for the 2009 tour have also been confirmed, but now it’s time to take things up a notch with a few ‘maybes’. This week’s Hit insert in the Melbourne Herald Sun suggested Canadian electro prince Tiga and celebrated UK scenester Erol Alkan will both make the journey down under for Parklife.
Alkan revealed to inthemix he’s hoping to tour Australia for the first time ever in 2009 (finally!), so it certainly adds some weight to the suggestion, while Tiga – who was last here for We Love Sounds in 2007 – has a brand new album out in May, so presumably he’ll be on the campaign trail to support its release.
Time will tell, of course, so stay tuned to ITM for updates.
