Featuring in our Most Wanted Tours of 2009 list from a few months back at #27, French electro superstars Miss Kittin & The Hacker are experiencing something of a renaissance in their careers right now, with the release of their long-awaited sophomore album Two.
Recently we had the chance to speak with Michel Amoto, aka The Hacker, for an episode of our inthemix podcast sessions, and when we asked him about the possibility of he and Miss Kittin returning for a tour he was more than happy to let us in on a little secret. They have plans in the pipeline to head back to Australia in 2009 for their first tour since 2003! “I don’t know [when] exactly, I think it will be more like a festival [tour],” Michel revealed. “I don’t want to say anything wrong, [but] we will come for sure! And we want to, because last time with Caroline [Miss Kittin] it was really great. We had a really great time.”
What’s more, the duo are both well and truly pumped for the visit, very much looking forward to entertaining their antipodean fans after such a long time away. “When our agent called us and told us, more or less, for sure that we would be going back to Australia we were really happy,” Michel assured us. “And I’m honoured when I say that! We are really happy to come back.”
