Melbourne’s reputable underground crew Darkbeat have spilled the beans on their upcoming event for the Queens Birthday Long Weekend in June. Promising to be innovative and forward-thinking, the party will feature rooms from the hugely recognised international label Kompakt, alongside local crews from Against the Grain, Mixed Messages and of course, Darkbeat themselves.
The Kompakt room is what will be getting ITMers the most excited, featuring all live performances from Germany’s The Modernist (Jorg Burger/Burger/Voight), Popnoname and Coma, along with Japan’s Kaito.
In the meantime, to get your fix of proggy, minimal and techy beats, head to Darkbeat’s upcoming party on Friday 8th May featuring Israel’s Guy J, a signing to John Digweed’s revered Bedrock Records stable.
Check out Darkbeat’s Queens Birthday Extravaganza on Friday 5th June at Brown Alley. Tickets available now from ITM. Full lineup below…
