Over the past few months we’ve had an influx of progressive, trance and techno names into the country. But what we’ve really been missing lately is some quality breakbeat. Luckily the UK’s Drumattic Twins are here to rectify the situation. It’s just been announced that the pair will be heading up Major Break 6 in Perth on Saturday July 11, as well as making an appearance at Chinese Laundry the Saturday evening prior, so keep your fingers crossed that national dates will be forthcoming.
If you were wondering what had been going on with the pair recently, they’ll actually be back in a big way in 2009 with the release of their new album Hammer and Tongs. It’s a release that should click fairly well with fans of their sound. “A savvy melange of breakbeats, soaring strings, electro roots, sprinklings of soul and rude basslines.”
Stay tuned to ITM for more national dates as they come to hand.
Sat July 4th – Chinese Laundry, Sydney
Sat July 11th – Major Break 6, Perth
