No doubt you read yesterday’s story about a shooting in Sydney’s busy clubbing district Kings Cross on the weekend? As shocked as we were by the violent nature of the incident, we were even more baffled (in a ‘laugh out loud’ kind of way) by the Ninemsn/Channel 9 video coverage from bystanders and eyewitnesses… if you haven’t watched the video yet check it out here.
Not surprisingly Twitter, Facebook and message boards – inthemix included – have been abuzz discussing the rather absurd video, and now ‘Claire’ and her somewhat inebriated friends have become the subject of their very own internet meme (not sure what a meme is? Read about it here on Wikipedia).
Here’s a small collection of some of the funniest we’ve found so far, done in classic ‘inspirational poster’ style. We’re now asking the ITM community at large to send us their best internet meme efforts of the incident, and we’ll compile them into one mega meme gallery this week. The best of the bunch will also score a CD prize pack for their hard work.
