In the days since the rather shocking incident, which saw a man shot twice on the streets of Sydney’s nightlife district Kings Cross, the bystanders interviewed by Ninemsn/Channel 9 have become internet celebrities. The girl at the centre of it all, ‘Clare’, has been revealed as 19-year-old Clare Werbeloff of Sydney’s northern beaches, and she’s been so overwhelmed with the reaction to her rather blunt eyewitness account that she’s contracted a publicist to deal with all the attention.

“She’s been inundated with calls this morning,” Adam Abrams, Clare’s spokesman, told ninemsn today. “We will be releasing a statement tomorrow.” Only time will tell if she decides to choose her words a little more carefully this time around. We wait with baited breath… seriously.
