The Godskitchen Boombox has been hyped up as a spectacular fusion of architecture, multimedia, visuals, and of course, pumping dance music, and from all the evidence we’ve witnessed with its stunning debut in the Ukraine early this year, the concept is everything that it’s cracked up to be. ITM can confirm the dates and the DJ lineup for when the Boombox will be making its maiden voyage to Australia later this year.
The Godskitchen Boombox Tour will be plugging in and firing up at the Hordern Pavilion in Sydney on Sunday October 4th, and then the following weekend on Saturday October 10th at the Hisense Arena in Melbourne. We already knew that trance superstars Cosmic Gate would be headlining the tour, and ITM can now confirm that they’ll be joined by fellow veterans Blank & Jones, psytrance heavy John ‘00’ Fleming and it’ll also be the first ever Australian tour of JES who’s worked as a live vocalist for Tiesto.
Future Entertainment have shed a few more details to ITM on how the Boombox works; the massive rectangular structure houses state-of-the-art DJ equipment, acting as a giant screen from which a dazzling combination of lighting and visuals can be projected, and synchronized with the music. It’s the brainchild of the Parisian based design collective 1024, and at over 16 meters wide, 8 meters high and 6 meters deep, the structure is hyped as the ultimate marriage of architecture with art (made possible by a truckload of technology of course).

There’s no confirmation yet on whether the Godskitchen brand will be venturing to other cities during the tour, but with the lineup in the country over a two-week period, it’s a safe be to assume that we’ll at least get treated to a few club shows along the way. Stay tuned to ITM for details!

It's just Etienne De Crecy's cube extended outward. It's shit. J00F is rad though. Less fancy bullshit lights and crap and more awesome music is what we need in Sydney. This sort of thing is killing the quality of events because it's easy to appeal to a bunch of people with some flashing colours and shit rather than put some effort in to booking awesome acts.

for all those ppl who think this is a weak lineup... go ahead and name a better one that actually takes into acccount production costs, booking fees and international schedules. you're kidding yourself if u just wanna see armin, pvd, shulzy EVERY TIME you leave the house to go see a trance dj. cosidering all the trance dj's that were just out for trance energy, you could not find a better line up of the remaining worldwide talent left. how about some diversity in the acts that you see, not just the few you found out about when you googled trance... anyone ripping on joof is a fool. he's a machine.

Aaaaan - J00f on a main set is epic! He played at home Nov 07 and his set went off! I'm sure his set will taylor the expectations of the GK name (whilst still giving us that awesome psy sound)

wowk to start with this is a very inexpensive production. so to say they are cutting it shot on acts because of money on "flashy" production is just correct. this is just short changing people .. i like the visual concept . but its just not that $$ to setup .. also ive heard better trance from bedroom dj;s than these acts. they are in part just being paid over and above for their exposure as producers. so with regards to your statment isnt it time promoters stopped dropping large dollars on acts that arnt as skillful as other trance dj's // ? a bit catch 22 .

this is seriously a very poor lineup hey... j00f was at MOS this week so y is he coming bak again... also he plays psy trance rite? this is historically a TRANCE event... and he doesnt really suit this event..... Blank and Jones is cheesy commercial and jes is a singer 4 fuk sake.... i can name 10 djs who could be on this lineup that arent : Gareth Emery, Marcus Shultz, Jaytec, Mark Etison, Mark Norman, Eddie Halliwell, Kyau Vs Albert, Andy Moor, Johan Gielen, Marcel Woods, Rank 1, Thrillseekers... and i could name more................................................................................................... compare this line-up to last years line-up aswell: SVD, JOC, Menno de jong and Jon o bir......................................

Orbital Sounds - Fair point. Now that you've actually elaborated on what you mean, I stand corrected. Meldi - Psy trance is a form of trance. Hence the use of "trance" in the name. Plus old school trance is closer to what we call psy these days than any of the shite coming out now anyway.

lol I wonder if those calling it a weak lineup have ever heard of B&J. In the Mix 3 is an awesome CD and they are massive across mainland Europe. Been waiting to see them for years as they never seem to tour the UK. They may play a little cheesy trance but that is more than made up for with Cosmic Gate. And to those who comment on JOOF playing psy Trance and that he shouldn't be at a trance event. I have heard him play some wicked trance and trance classic sets back in England.
