The biggest entry to the festival calendar for 2010 is here, and tomorrow morning... [more]
Having just released a new album, Cope, earlier this month with his full-blown band project Freeland, UK producer extraordinaire Adam Freeland has fully embraced his new life as part of a band.
But when ITM got Freeland on the phone to talk about his new album, we couldn’t help but press the production whiz for details on when he’d be touring Australia next. Our persistence paid off as Freeland revealed to us that he’ll be back in Australia in January. “We’re still working out logistics, but it looks like we’ll come down in January for one of the big festivals,” Freeland teased.
A big festival in January? Sounds to us like it could well be Big Day Out! And the appearance of Freeland would be a premium slot on any stage at the summer festival. Needless to say we’re excited, as Freeland’s last visit to these shores over the ‘08/’09 summer still rings fondly in our memories. Let the mouth-frothing begin!
Freeland’s Cope is out now through Marine Parade and Inertia. Stay tuned to ITM for more festival info as we get it, and the full interview with Adam Freeland very soon!

campbellt says...
Hope it is BDO...It would be rad to have him play at something that isn't a dance festival genre type of event for once!
Jose Mourinho says...
fuck oath. He and Huntemann made my field day!! Such a unique style, i love it!!
filou says...
meh.
mattpolo8 says...
noooo not BDO. exactly why campbell said...BDO isn't a dance festival. he would be so out of place. slot him in at summadayze please.
BMoney says...
He looks like Carrot Top in that photo. Seems the 'band' thang is where the biggies are headed these days
GrEnNo says...
mattpolo8........BDO does have a boiler room...Noob
Ruthykins says...
WHO?
mattpolo8 says...
grenno...BDO ISN'T a dance music festival. If Adam Freeland was at any festival he would be of headline status...most BDO-ers go for the bands, not the DJs.
discotheque says...
Perhaps Freeland will stop playing electro and go back to nu skool breaks once and for all.
bluepeople says...
you twats saying he shouldnt play at BDO cause it not a dance event but instead a band event and would rather he play at summagetyourflurooutroidragetryhardwannabetosspotday really need to read the article in future. i'll help all you wanks out there and cut it down. READY..... UK producer extraordinaire Adam Freeland has fully embraced his new life as part of a band. WOW SHOCKING ISNT IT. WOULD LOVE TO SEE THE CHAMP ROCK IT OUT AT THE BDO
DJ MooseKnuckle says...
mattpolo - are you a moron. Prodigy was the headline act this year at BDO. You can cram 20'000 people into the Boiler Room that's about the same amount that would have been around the mainstage at Field Day when Freeland Played.
GrEnNo says...
an I can recall carl cox, dave clark, basement jaxx, underworld, crystal mathod etc etc, playing BDO and headlining, mattpolo......I think u need to read up on the facts before posting!!!! BDO caters for all genres!!!!
VOITY81 says...
If he was to play at summadayze with his band people would be standing around going What the FUCK is this goddamm band doing here????? BDO would be perfect for him. And hopefully it isnt puss because people arent afraid to voice/perform their opinions at the BDO.
Beamstah says...
LOL people just relax. He would be good at either festival.
edbanging says...
he owes it to melbourne after not showing up the hot bbq stage at this year's summadayze
