Adam Freeland for Big Day Out 2010?

Having just released a new album, Cope, earlier this month with his full-blown band project Freeland, UK producer extraordinaire Adam Freeland has fully embraced his new life as part of a band.

But when ITM got Freeland on the phone to talk about his new album, we couldn’t help but press the production whiz for details on when he’d be touring Australia next. Our persistence paid off as Freeland revealed to us that he’ll be back in Australia in January. “We’re still working out logistics, but it looks like we’ll come down in January for one of the big festivals,” Freeland teased.

A big festival in January? Sounds to us like it could well be Big Day Out! And the appearance of Freeland would be a premium slot on any stage at the summer festival. Needless to say we’re excited, as Freeland’s last visit to these shores over the ‘08/’09 summer still rings fondly in our memories. Let the mouth-frothing begin!

Freeland’s Cope is out now through Marine Parade and Inertia. Stay tuned to ITM for more festival info as we get it, and the full interview with Adam Freeland very soon!

Nobody has hearted this, be the first Be the first!

Hope it is BDO...It would be rad to have him play at something that isn't a dance festival genre type of event for once!

grenno...BDO ISN'T a dance music festival. If Adam Freeland was at any festival he would be of headline status...most BDO-ers go for the bands, not the DJs.

Perhaps Freeland will stop playing electro and go back to nu skool breaks once and for all.

mattpolo - are you a moron. Prodigy was the headline act this year at BDO. You can cram 20'000 people into the Boiler Room that's about the same amount that would have been around the mainstage at Field Day when Freeland Played.
