The Australian debut of the mighty Creamfields festival is fast approaching, and... [more]
ID&T’s flagship event Sensation was most definitely the biggest addition to the Australian clubbing calendar last year, and this NYE in Melbourne it’ll be back with a brand new theme that looks set to eclipse the ‘Oak of Love’ we saw at the debut event. The ‘Ocean of White’ edition of Sensation will transform the Etihad Stadium into a stunning underwater world, in the same fashion that has already bedazzled more than 250,000 punters across Europe over the past 12 months.
The ‘Ocean of White’ show boasts a 160 metre stage that covers the entire length of the stadium, with huge water features and effects that keep in tune with the theme; as well as all the lights, lasers and special effects we’ve come to expect from ID&T’s mind-boggling parties. Want a preview of exactly what ‘Ocean of White’ looks like? Check out the adventures of inthemix.tv in Copenhagen last year!
Senation’s debut was more of a success that anyone could have even predicated, selling out 40,000 tickets and drawing punters from all over the country. There’s every reason to expect we’ll see even more national revelers descending on the city to bring in 2010 with Sensation, securing Melbourne’s place as easily the place to be to party over the New Year period. Bring it on we say…
Will you be there for Sensation this NYE? Stay tuned to ITM for ticketing info in the coming weeks, and keep your eyes peeled to our Festival Page for all the Sensation info you could possibly need.

ID&T put on a great show last year based on selling 25k tickets and got 40k and a sold out show. Bring on the 2nd year with an all but guaranteed sold out performance. This year we have a group of 20 flying in from Perth and another 5 or 10 from the Uk. Accomodation is going to be crazy with alot more ppl flying in and out

had an awesome time last year at the Oak Tree of Love... looking forward to announcement of the lineup to see if it will win me over to come across from Perth again for it :)
shazzy06 says...
yeah last year was awesome..lets just hope for a better lineup this time..
Tranceologer says...
I hope the line up is much better than last years and that its revealed before tixs go on sale.
Pendulum says...
Trance pl0x.
Elliot G says...
Great spectacle, but lineup was disappointing. Let's hope for an improvement...
rustyinbondi2 says...
Well regardless of lineup this is going to be the biggest individual event on the dance music calendar in Australia. Having been to summerdayze and sensation last year. Sensation won hands down. Oh yeah and no GHB overdoses. So this will be sold out within a couple of days of the first announcemnet. Seeing ID&T have agreed to another 4 shows(minimum) they are not going to have a dud lineup. Didn't the owner say that melb was the biggest sensation ever......... It's going to be sold out and huge. Future and Fuzzy watch out because you have a multinational that's doing things the new way and the punters like it.

win
headhunta says...
being a trance lineup you fools i sold my tickets last year due to the fact you had the shittest lineup for such a big event
X-QLUSIVE RAVER says...
bring some more trance or hard trance djs. the production was offthe chain last year but for me the music was too soft all the way through the night.
deXXy_Disaster says...
i doubt it'll do as good as last year unless theres a better lineup. they certainly wont sell any tickets before the lineup is announced this time!
Frank_K says...
sold out within a couple of days hey rusty..... lol
Msrach says...
how much wud tix be about? didnt go last yr bt wud love to go this new yrs
StiC MaN says...
apparently sebastien ingrosso confirmed............so he can play "show me love/be" 5 times in his set.......just like every other time he comes out here....
Youss_doc says...
sensation was gr8 last year and going straight from there to chill out at summadayze was pretty cool. BUT ID&T need to work on the line-up-) c'mon people let's get somethin special
tranceboy2009 says...
this will sell out regardless of the lineup , the production alone for this is massive 2 or 3 times bigger than the oak tree of love , new theme premiers in july in holland "wicked wonderland" which is what we will get next year sensation white will never be full on trance thats what trance energy is for .........
campbellt says...
Even though they sold out 40,000 tickets on the first gig (NYE 2008) they pumped in $15m so there profit would have been very minimal!!!! It's all about line-up these days who give a shit who's the promoter putting on the show. If it's another average line-up i doubt it'll sell out or even come close!
TranceUnited says...
Ocean of white is a much bigger production which I imagine will cost a hell of a lot more. Bring it on! Im sure the line up will be great and will equally match the production. As long as they end with trance im happy :)
jetgrrl says...
After going to Sensation NYE '08 I cant wait for a few more NYE's down in Melbourne. Remember the lineup is only half the story at these events - the immense production is jawdropping, as everyone who went last year can confirm! Heading to Sensation 'Wicked Wonderland' party in Holland this week - seriously cannot wait!!
The3rdPlumpDj says...
rustyinbondi - a lot of punters dont give a fuck for trance either... it sounds like you are into whatever is the most popular... i would imagine fuzzy/future couldnt careless...
s2n-mikey says...
Trance would sell quicker :D
rustyinbondi2 says...
The3rdplumpdj All I can say is are you an idiot? I reiterate the below point regardless of who plays. Secondly are you telling me that the two biggest Australian Dance Music promoters couldn't care less if their two biggest events that they hold the next day post-sensation are seen as a 2nd rate event!!!!! YOU IDIOT and where did I mention trance, I didn't you did. "Well regardless of lineup this is going to be the biggest individual event on the dance music calendar in Australia"
lfitz says...
StiC %u2013 So true%u2026 Im so fucking sick of SI & SA lame festival sets which involves Sebastian looping the intro of Be over Show Me Love for a hour and a half whilst Steve swigs his bottle of vodka and introduces him self to the crowd a million times! Sensations will be sick though!
Spank-E says...
bring on the line up from TRANCE ENERGY SYDNEY!!
erininc says...
sebastian ingrosso is already confirmed to play.
The3rdPlumpDj says...
Rusty - im just sayn speak for yourself fuckwit... there are obviously a lot of people that would prefer an outdoor new years day event as opposed to a new years eve party... and if your talking numbers then i think field day, summadayze & then summafield dayz between them would be quite lucrative for them hence fuzzy/future not giving a fuck about your dumb ass opinion.
rustyinbondi2 says...
hahhahahah The3rdPlumpDj .... I forgot the golden rule You should never argue with idiots because they will just drag you down to their level....then beat you with experience
crackthatback says...
Wow. Lame. Why don't ID& T think more about lineup than themes? I'm so glad I'm going to Europe and will be a million miles from Angello and Ingrosso....The only ocean of white that will emerge will be due to the mass wank this event will be come, pardon the pun....
ravelikespastic says...
Ocean of white = trance = big names = happy jess
SENRTA says...
hmm, water effects, wonder how that will go with water restrictions, being that Tiesto's tour last year was stopped from using water.
djfuzza says...
"this is not a rave". will be the same as last year will finish off with a trance set and the rest will be progressive..
serj-thyy-mad says...
bring the black one!!! white is gay!
