to listen to their music now on MySpace Music
Over the weekend ITM revealed Sensation would be returning to Melbourne this New Years Eve (read about it here), this time with the same ‘Ocean of White’ theme that’s played to more than 250,000 punters across Europe in the past 12 months; and we can now lift the lid on the first artist who’s been confirmed for the show. Swedish House Mafioso Sebastian Ingrosso will be on deck to provide the tunes, with ID&T cheekily hinting he might be bringing a few of his “friends” along for the ride.
The news was confirmed by Irfan van Ewijk (the ‘I’ in ID&T) during a chat with ITM earlier this week, where he spoke on what we can expect from the party. Even more spectacle than we saw at the first event, apparently. “We’re grown even more experienced in setting up a show that surprises, and creates ‘wow’ moments,” Irfan told ITM, claiming we can expect a true ‘underwater ambience’ in the stadium. “This year it will be even more stunning… it’s in the numbers. This show will cost 50 per cent more than what we invested in the show last year.”
Irfan also hinted at an artist lineup for Sensation that will keep everybody happy. “It will be very house orientated, but we’re here to please as many people as possible, not only with the music but offering to them a great night out. And I don’t expect too many complaints.”
Stay tuned to ITM for all the Sensation news as it comes to hand. Ticketing info is due in the coming weeks, and don’t forget to check out our Festival Page for all the Sensation info you could possibly need.

StiC MaN says...
yeh umm awesome.........looking 4 ward to hearing the same set they play EVERYTIME they come out here *rolls eyes*.......well guys enjoy listening "show me love/be" for 2 hours straight. its a shame, they are not bad productions either, and their productions overall arent bad. i guess we'll never see the days johan gielen graced the centre stage of sensation.

GrenNo you fool "AGAIN!!!......fuckin hell, talk about saturation!!! just need to add busy P, steve angello and AVB and we have another festival exactly the same like every year!!! " we have a lot of people that like electronic music in this country and therefore a lot of festivals, there are not that many touring world class djs in the world of course the same names are gonna come up

GrEnNo says...
hey transdouch.......there are tones of touring world class DJS mate, I dont know where you got that there are hardly any, do abit of research before saying something pretty stupid like your post above. Obviously it shows you have no clue AT ALL. The sweedish house mafia are not the only Djs/producers in the world you know.....moron
Trance_Lover says...
Lets just hope they get some trance in there and put the good stuff at the good times, and not at the end like last year!!! Why more house??? Bring on the trance already.... nobody listens to house anymore.... bah!!

Angellor and Ingrosso were awful at Future. Commercial house from the last five years with a drunk Angello screaming 'are you ready?' 50 times at the crowd. The two of them together would not be a drawcard for me. Ive heard Ingrosso play by himself at Sensation Spain late last year and he played a completely different set alone - good, upbeat, tech-house. I wish he was coming alone.
Weqster says...
The only good thing about the mafia was Axwell and wayy wayyy wayyy back, Prydz.

bloody beetrots and deadmau5 now that would make the roof explode
johnny_pole says...
If Ingrosso "and friends" are the drawcard for this years Sensation, like Fedde was last year. Then Sensation gets the flick once again for NYE. Sensation has the ability to draw a massive lineup, yet for some reason Australia always gets the same djs recycled over and over again. However, I can understand that most top djs would prefer dj'ing in europe around NYE as it's easier and cost effective to go from show to show. When will a festival learn that people DONT want to hear the same people year in year out. New acts PLEASE!!!
deXXy_Disaster says...
seb ingrosso is quality on his own. but the lineup better be better than last year.. give us sander van doorn or markus schulz!
s2n-mikey says...
Friends? He is definately coming out with Angello/Axwell/Laidback Luke.. Does this man even have any other friends? lol
Trance_Lover says...
Great to hear they're putting more in on the "production" and the "ambience" and the "show", but lets hope they put as much effort into the music line-up!! GIVE US THE TRANCE!!!!!!
qantasq says...
Talk about big... but shit man where the hell is trance of all the DJ's in the world... hopefully line up gets better...
Apollo_God says...
There is no problems with ingrosso, i dont believe there is any problem with any of the dj's. Last year was amazing, ok not all the tunes may suit every single individual, but its about picking the right dj's (their genre) to match the theme of the show, and also aimed at the general public, not trance addicts, not hardstyle freaks, this why we have festivals such as defqon.1 for the harder styles of music. People talk about diversity, thats why there are many festivals each focused on certain styles of music. All i can say is if sensation sells out, and im sure it will, then obviously people are happy with house music, as im sure the majoirty of the general public within australia prefer it over most other genres.
merca says...
anyone know when the full line-up released??
