From 9 to 24 October, the Melbourne International Arts Festival will settle in around M-Town. The programme is set to include arts, theatre, dance, opera and film and of course music.

For 11 nights, the Forum Theatre will be transformed into the Beck’s Rumpus Room, with performances spanning rock, punk, electronica, hip hop and all the variants in between. inthemix will be signing up for the full dose of revelry.

The international guest-list includes extravagant electroclash trailblazers Fischerspooner (playing live), those wacky Latino jokers the Cuban Brothers, US wordsmith Beans and several more names you wouldn’t see on a Big Day Out bill. There’s a considered local contingent as well; among them My Disco, Beaches, Minutes Vs. Margins and Koko Nuts.

To make the proposition all the more enticing, entry to the Beck’s Rumpus Room is only $15, or for $100 you can go to every night. Find out more about the Melbourne International Arts Festival at its website.
